One of the most iconic brands in sailing has reached port in Baltimore.

Last winter, Pusser’s Caribbean Grille closed in Annapolis after serving as a waterfront nightlife staple in Maryland’s capital for three decades. Annapolitans were sad to see their source of the iconic rum painkiller shut down, but they won’t have to travel all the way to the Caribbean to visit the newest and closest location of the famous sailor’s paradise.

At the end of July, Pusser’s Landing in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood opened its doors at the Lighthouse Point Marina, with seating for more than 350 customers across more than 15,000 square feet of real estate. Customers in Maryland are glad to have a revamped location of the restaurant, which is steeped in sailing lore and known for its strong drinks and good vibes.

Pusser’s Landing opened to much fanfare on July 21 at 2711 Boston Street in the spot previously occupied by Drift Bar. The Annapolis location closed last year to make way for a new restaurant along Spa Creek’s Ego Alley that will likely be fancier and have higher price points than Pusser’s, which is known as more of a hole-in-the-wall establishment popular with salty sailors.

The brand has its roots in the British Navy, as Pusser’s was the name of the rum it distributed to sailors from 1655 to 1970. The business as it stands today was created in the late 1970s by an entrepreneur who opened a distillery in the British Virgin Islands and accompanying restaurants around the region and world.

Those interested in learning more about the new location can call (443) 869-2067. Pusser’s Landing is accepting reservations and, according to Google, it is open from 3 to 10 p.m. from Monday to Friday, noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 10 on Sunday.
