Summer is here, and that means school is out, fresh produce is available and lots of sunny days that are best spent outside. What better way to take in summer than spending mornings at the farmers market? Baltimore has farmers markets throughout the city and county, each with its own mix of vendors and offerings. Some you may have heard of, some not. If you’re new to the area and looking for a spot to spend a weekend morning or a parent who wants to find a low-cost and efficient activity to do with your kids, pick from this list of five and add them to your calendar!
1) Mt. Washington Farmers Market; Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Northwest Park in Baltimore
Mt. Washington Farmers Market may only have been around since 2023, but it has quickly become a beloved part of the Northwest Baltimore community. You can get tons of produce, coffee, snacks and more. And with an active social media presence, if there’s a specific vendor that you hope to see on a given weekend, just check Instagram and see if they’re on that week’s list.
2) Overlea Farmers Market; Every other Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church Baltimore
The Overlea Farmers Market is located in northeastern Baltimore County near Parkville. It runs twice a month, with the next edition coming this Saturday and subsequent markets on July 4, July 18 and so on. For 11 years, this farmers market has been serving the community of Overlea with great food and goods, and this year brings some particularly special additions: an activity table for the kids and themed markets!
3) 32nd Street Farmers Market; Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon.; Intersection of 32nd and Barclay Streets
Located near the Baltimore Museum of Art just north of Charles Village, the 32nd Street Farmers Market is a gem. For one, it’s been going for nearly 50 years and is held year-round, rain or shine. Plus, it opens early, which is great for morning people or those with kids who can’t wait to get a start on the day. There are numerous vendors, and it’s easily accessible by car, bike, the Circulator, CityLink Red or CityLink Silver.
4) Fells Point Farmers Market; Saturdays 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Broadway Square
The Fells Point Farmers Market is an interesting slice of history. While this edition hasn’t been around for hundreds of years, Fells Point has been a hub of similarly shaped markets since the 18th century. In 2026, you can find things that would have been sold then — like local vegetables and mead — as well as foods that probably weren’t available in the time of the American Revolution, like arepas and organic turmeric, pineapple and ginger juice. Either way, it’s a fun time, and located right in the middle of the Fells Point action!
5) The Baltimore Farmers’ Market; Sundays 7 a.m. to noon; Intersection of Jones Falls Expressway, Holliday Street and Saratoga Street
The Baltimore Farmers’ Market bears the name of the city, and with good reason. It’s the biggest of its kind in Maryland and has tons of vendors. Its location under an overpass means that it’s an easy stop for those taking the highway, particularly those who live south of the city. Here, you’ll find vendors that you won’t find elsewhere in Baltimore. If you’re looking for a smaller, community-focused market, this probably isn’t it. But if you’re looking for the greatest diversity of products and love to be part of a crowd, come down to the Baltimore Farmers’ Market.
That’s it for this list! Did you see a market you already love? Did you think of one that we didn’t include? Email us and let us know. There’s always room for additions to the next list!
