The Cross Street Market area in Federal Hill bolsters its “party central” image with the recent opening of Ryleigh’s Oyster and, more recently, The Stalking Horse pub next door. You may remember the smallish pub from its last incarnation, The Green Olive. Now the McFaul brothers, who also own Ropewalk Tavern a few blocks away, have revived the Cross Street space. They’ve kept the interiors intact, but added a multitude of large flat-screen TVs all around so that, come gametime, there isn’t a bad spot in the house. It’s caught on as a late-night watering hole (featuring the area’s only energy drink-and-vodka slushies), but offers pub food as well: burgers, thin-crust pizzas, quesadillas and wings. Open for lunch and dinner. 26 E. Cross St., 410-244-6722
