Baltimore Watertable restaurant
The tagline for the new Watertable restaurant is “American flavor. Chesapeake style.” And one could add, “Spectacular view.” Located on the fifth floor of the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel, the floor-to-ceiling windows of the smartly designed dining room offer stunning views of the Inner Harbor from every table. The food is equally impressive under the direction of chef Dean James Max. The menu presents a seasonal array of small plates and entrees, as well as petite “Tastings” appetizers (such as a “shot” of gazpacho) and a roster of “Little Bites” desserts. Choose from dishes like Maryland crab cakes, roasted organic chicken breast, filet mignon and Chesapeake rockfish. There’s also a communal table that seats 12 and a glass-enclosed private dining room for 20. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days. Valet parking available after 5 p.m.

202 E. Pratt St. (in the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel), 410-685-8439.
