Celebrate the Fourth in Baltimore with family, friends, and your fellow Americans! Here are three events to attend this Independence Day in Charm City.
Cherry Hill Arts and Music Waterfront Festival
Come to Middle Branch Park to celebrate the Fourth with food, music, fun and a great view of a wonderful drone show. The festival is in its ninth year and will feature acts from near and far. The event is run by the Youth Resiliency Institute and is beloved by those from the neighborhood and elsewhere in Charm City. Fireworks are great, but if you’ve never seen a drone show, make sure to attend the waterfront festival. Drones offer a more organized light show, and don’t have any of the noise that scare children and pets! The event runs from 1 to 10 p.m. and is free!
Park and Relax at the Baltimore Museum of Industry
At the Baltimore Museum of Industry, you’ll get a front-row seat to the Inner Harbor fireworks show. In addition to views of the classic Baltimore Independence Day celebration, there will be face painting, food, outdoor games and activities, and music from the John Lamkin Favorites Jazz Quintet. From 6 to 10 p.m., you and the whole family can check out the event. Note that tickets are by vehicle, not by person; $100 gets you parking for one car by the museum and admission for six to eight people. For $165, you get admission for 10 people and an indoor or outdoor table. This event is a great option for bigger groups!
Dundalk’s Fourth of July Parade
If you’d rather opt for an early celebration that comes before the fireworks, look no further. In Dundalk, the fun kicks off at 8:15 a.m. with a classic parade that features community staples, entertainers and more. Whether it’s a parade float, a classic hot rod or a modern supercar, you can see it all on the Fourth out in Dundalk. The parade has been running for more than 90 years and features giveaways and prizes, too. Get your family dressed up in their best red, white and blue garb, grab some flags and get ready for a fun morning!
