Pie Eyed Restaurateur Lisa Heckman (formerly of Soigné) is now in the pizza business. Her newest venture, Iggie’s, is housed in an industrial-style space on Calvert Street in Mount Vernon. The authentic Italian pies are made with a thin, light crust and sophisticated toppings that lean toward seasonal fare and organic options. Look for pizzas such as the Anatra (duck confit, blue cheese, caramelized onions and asparagus), Vedura Fresca (roasted vegetables, balsamic reduction, pecorino and mozzarella) and the Funghi (mushroom ragu, leeks and goat cheese).
