Calling all selfie queens and anyone who’s guilty of singing all the words to “Trap Queen”: This year’s InfieldFest lead acts include the Chainsmokers and, you guessed it, Fetty Wap.
The Maryland Jockey Club announced today that for the event happening May 21 the electronica dance duo (responsible for the viral “#SELFIE”) the Chainsmokers, will perform on the main stage along with rap artist Fetty Wap, whose 2014 breakout song “Trap Queen” put his sing-rap style on the map. And it looks like Alex Gaskarth’s honeymoon will be over just in time because Baltimore’s own punk darlings All Time Low are scheduled for the Jägermeister Stage with Chris Janson and Corey Smith.
This year’s lineup continues the exciting trend of I.M.P., the production company that also owns and operates the 9:30 Club in D.C. and Merriweather Post Pavilion, securing major artists for the event, which it has been doing since the festival’s inception in 2009. InfieldFest has welcomed Lorde, Nas, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pitbull and Bruno Mars in previous years.
This year marks the 141st Preakness, the middle jewel of Thoroughbred Racing’s Triple Crown. So, hold on to your hats, everyone. You’re in for a great show.
