SEASON’S GREETINGS AND A special thank-you to our faithful readers, who are have grown in rapid numbers over the course of this very busy and memorable year.
You’re an important part of the STYLE family!
The last few weeks have been a time of especially great change at STYLE as we said goodbye to Editor-in-Chief Jessica Bizik, who leaves the magazine to pursue the next chapter of her professional life. We wish Jessica all the best and appreciate the flair, humor and enthusiasm she added to our copy and our office day.
The changes Jessica brought to STYLE continue to evolve, and we are psyched to announce our new editor-in-chief and senior editor next issue. Look for more writers to bring a fresh perspective to a 26-year-old magazine that invites both young and mature readers, offering something stylishly and culturally relevant for all Baltimoreans.
Speaking of: In this issue, check out our locally selected 50-item gift guide, a conven-ient crib sheet for your extensive holiday shopping. (Side note: My absolute favorite jewelry store, Amaryllis, is among the merchants featured—hint, hint, honey.) Read about six local artisans who sell their cool handmade wares and likewise fuel the Baltimore economy—Paul Rich, for example, refurbishes the most beautiful vintage bikes. Meet some extremely handsome (and kind-hearted) Hampden men, who posed for sexy calendar shots to help fund a community center in their ’hood.
We look forward to engaging even more readers and advertisers in 2016. So be on the lookout for our quarterly event invites, including a reader appreciation happy hour and, of course, the annual fall fest. (By the way, big thanks to the Harbor Court Royal Sonesta for welcoming us into their gorgeous, new renovated space for our October bash and Green Spring Station-sponsored fashion show.) Joyful holidays to you all! We’ll talk again soon.
