Savvy’s been known to fly to L.A. for the perfect brow wax and regularly pops up to NYC for amazing haircuts. Divine handmade chocolate? That usually required a hop across the pond. Now she’s found outstanding modern chocolates in… Cockeysville? At Parfections, chocolatier Kim Rigby crafts more than 30 signature truffle flavors with unusual and innovative ingredient combinations. Savvy started shyly with a classic Grand Marnier truffle (orange juice, liqueur and zest)… fabulous. She then went for the Yin Yang truffle (dark chocolate, sake and wasabi root, rolled in sesame seeds)… wow! Thank goodness all 30 were not on display that day. Since there are no preservatives, the truffles should be eaten within two weeks (definitely not a problem in my book). Don’t miss: Parfections’ booth at the Farmer’s Market @ Boordy Vineyards all summer long, and their candy-making classes (if Sav learns how to make these at home, she may never be able to fit out the front door). 10768 York Road, 410-TRUFFLE
