Over the weekend, winter storm Jonas dumped a record-breaking 29.2 inches of snow on the metro area, surpassing all past solo blizzards; that does not include the double-whammy snowstorms of 2010. As a result, there have been widespread closures, notably public schools in the city and surrounding counties, along with Towson University, University of Baltimore, UMBC and MICA.
