Abbey Burger Bistro
Abbey Burger Bistro

Lovely Grano is branching from Hampden to Federal Hill (1043 S. Charles St.), while Abbey Burger Bistro, still a fave in Federal Hill, is expanding to Fells Point (811 S. Broadway). The Bun Shop, that quirky mix of eclectic décor and focused cuisine (just about everything on the menu is a bun), is opening its fraternal twin a few blocks from the Inner Harbor. “There’s nothing like us down there,” says co-owner Andrew Bui of the new location at 2 Light St. “Since we’re in an area with lots of hotels, we hope people will come and hang out” till the BYO restaurant’s 3 a.m. closing.

Abbey Burger likewise seems to have picked itself up, dusted itself off and landed in cool new digs—on Broadway in the former Willow space. “Friends in Canton and Fells didn’t come across the pond [to Federal Hill] too often,” says owner Russ Pugh—who also has a location in Ocean City. The concept is the same: meat offerings, including rotating exotics like camel (lighter than you’d think), kangaroo and venison can be layered with a variety of toppings and served on the bread, bun or wrap of your choosing. They still have the adult milkshakes, too. granoemporio.com; facebook.com/thebunshop; abbeyburgerbistro.com
