No wonder when we step inside the new Kohler Signature Store by Thos. Somerville, we get a little misty eyed considering all the creative options we didn’t realize we’d need, want, must have for our dream homes.
Housed in a restored old brick building in Little Italy, the showroom boasts six suites of bath and kitchen models—offering traditional, transitional and modern design. Options abound: The high-style, fuss-free bathroom pictured here features Kohler’s new Choreograph shower collection, including a manmade quarter-inch thick solid surface material that’s durable, affordable and “sleek but really easy to clean,” according to Cheryl Crowther, showroom director. “Accessories go with it. Shower lockers recess into the wall—and the grab bar looks like a ballerina bar.”
Products and services also include: tiles and countertops, cabinetry, design consultancy, and installation referral. One of the showroom’s suites features 16 faucets so you can try your hand (literally) at a sink before you commit. There are three working tubs and a 12-foot working shower, too. Bonus: Little Italy chefs offer occasional cooking demos in the large kitchen suite. What do you say; hungry for a redesign?
