Three years ago, Matt Snow was living in Baltimore and wrapping up art school. Looking for a way to make a few extra bucks, he whipped up some T’s with flirty quips like “I’d rather be making out.” Unsurprisingly, the college crowd snapped them up and Ex-Boyfriend was born. The line quickly moved past the cheeky stuff to include animal, music, nature and sci-fi graphics (where else can you find a kitten in a space helmet named Fuzz Aldrin?) as well as cute kid stuff (hipster babies everywhere will love the cute penguin onesie). Ex-Boyfriend is currently sold only online (look for them in boutiques in 2011), allowing Matt to donate 5 percent of the net proceeds to local Baltimore animal shelters.
