Be cool, it’s time to dab on some Sex Panther and tune up the jazz flute because the Channel 4 Evening News Team is back in “Anchorman: The Exhibit,” opening Nov. 14 at the Newseum. In partnership with Paramount Pictures, the exhibit features props, costumes and footage from the 2004 smash comedy. Pose for photos at the KVWN-TV anchor desk and film your own “Anchorman”-themed TV spot at one of the “Be a TV Reporter” stations. (Just don’t drink any scotchy scotch scotch before your segment.) You’ll learn everything you ever wanted to know about the history of news teams (both fictional and real) just in time for the release of “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” in December. Through Aug. 31, 2014
Insider’s Tip: After exploring the 250,000-square-foot interactive news museum, head up the street to Mike Isabella’s Graffiato restaurant (graffiatodc.com) for the most amazing charred octopus this side of San Diego.
