Patrons of the Baltimore Opera now have a new choice for preshow dining: Casa Michele has opened for dinner in what was a rehearsal space inside the venerable Lyric. The private dining room was designed by Rita St. Clair; scenic artists and production staff of the opera company executed the design that includes velvets, heavy draperies, theatrical marble flooring and dramatic lighting. The menu is presented by chef Jerry Edwards of Chef’s Expressions, and includes three-course dinners with hors d’oeuvres and wines, as well as brunch specialties before Sunday matinee performances.
