Sedona, Ariz., isn’t one of those places you’d think Savvy would love: Communing with vortexes isn’t exactly what heightens her spiritual and metaphysical energy. More like a fabulous suite, great food and a well-chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Fortunately, at L’Auberge de Sedona (301 L’Auberge Lane, 928-282-1661) you can have it all. Renovated less than a year ago, the Vista cottages are perfection. Nary a Navaho pattern in sight, this is 1,200 square feet of clean, modern indoor/outdoor space, including two great decks, your own private outdoor shower and the most heavenly bathroom with a view of Sedona’s famed Red Rocks. Wander down to the creekside restaurant for divine meals (including a Sunday brunch that left Sav nostalgic for her childhood country club spread) and free morning duck-feeding and yoga. (OK, she did neither, but it sounds charming.) Her massage with Alicia at the spa was simply without equal, and while sipping a glass of wine by the firepit, she decided that maybe this positive energy stuff does have some merit after all. Don’t miss: Go to Hike House (431 State Route 179, 928-282-5820) for chic stuff to wear on West Fork of Oak Creek (a simply stunning trail), then the best margaritas and gourmet Mexican at Elote Café (771 State Route 179, 928-203-0105).

Never miss a story.
