In her next life, Savvy is coming back as one of those cute girls you see in the pages of Lucky. All so young and stylish, with their fabulous Sally Hershberger-ish haircuts and floaty tops and layered necklaces. Sigh. Sadly, those years are a distant memory for Sav. Which is a shame, because Baltimore is suddenly awash in boutiques (Form, Shine, Urban Chic, Holly G.) fit for any street in Park Slope. That said, Whimsy goes this concept one better, featuring not only loads of labels for the Lucky crowd (Allison Wonderland) but also pieces that work for the rest of us (Plenty by Tracy Reese, Original Penguin). Owner Jennifer Solomon paired up with mom Patty Pearson and it smartly paid off-— it’s like someone took 60 percent of the Lucky fashion closet, mixed in about 30 percent of the Glamour closet and threw in some of the Elle closet for good measure. Could you ask for more? Well, yes, because there is more. The jewelry is fab and there’s great house stuff, too (love the pillows from Thomas Paul). Don’t miss: Reason, right upstairs. Jennifer sources great men’s stuff, too. Savvy was completely into the updated classics with a twist from designers like Played in Heaven and Scotch & Soda. Cute, cute, cute! 1033 S.
