After years of designer drought, Baltimore is suddenly awash in brilliant boutiques. The aptly named Urban Chic is the latest store to open in instantly fabulous Inner Harbor East. Savvy gives owner Lindsay Buscher serious style points for stocking everything delicious from Catherine Malandrino, young Hollywood-worthy dresses from Alice + Olivia, the work-ready pants by Theory, yummy cashmere from Vince and toss-them- in-your-suitcase pieces from Ella Moss and Diane von Furstenberg. If that wasn’t enough to set Urban Chic apart, Lindsay also carries great stuff for men, maternity and baby. Top that off with shoes from London Sole plus a have-another-course-at-Cinghiale selection of Spanx and you could have Savvy’s new favorite downtown store (is it wrong to wish the interior didn’t make her feel less like she’s at Intermix and more like she’s at Restoration Hardware?). Don’t miss: The smattering of lesser-known designers like “Project Runway” finalist Kara Janx. 811 Aliceanna St., 410-685-1601
