Shine Collective’s Melissa Sarkis Kirby has been quite busy. As if having her first baby isn’t production enough, she’s just opened her new Shine. Now in Hampden on the Avenue, just around the corner from its former location, this new and improved Shine reflects Melissa’s own change from single girl-about-town to happy homebody. That isn’t to say that everything you adored about the old Shine (great pillows by Sukie, Brown Sugar Bath Crumbs by Treat, mod photo albums by Thomas Paul) isn’t represented full force — indeed, the larger space just means more of what you love. But now Melissa has now partnered with Christian Sturgis of Sturgis antiques to offer hand-selected estate home furnishings from the 1800s to mid-century, along with modernist pieces (think pendant lamps from Tord Boonjte). There’s even a great classic vinyl (punk, new wave, jazz, blues) and artwork. Don’t miss: Jeans by Indie and the tees from Pink Spike. 1007 36th St., 410-366-6100
