The brothers McFaul have long had a magic touch when opening popular pubs and taverns around town (Ropewalk Taverns in Federal Hill and Bel Air, McFaul’s Pub, Stalking Horse)— some might say the luck o’ the Irish. They continue their winning streak with the opening of Delia Foley’s Pub and Eatery. Located in Federal Hill at the corner of Charles Street and Fort Avenue, the newly renovated Irish pub assumes the spot that formerly housed a neighborhood dive bar. Outside, a fresh paint job, new windows, shutters and ironwork greet visitors. The roomy interiors feature dark woods, deep green walls and lots of Old Country flags overhead. The bar has 16 beers on tap, a wide selection of lagers, ales and stouts, and happy hour deals like $2 domestics and $4 Jameson pours. The ‘Irish fusion’ menu offers hearty pub fare such as Corned Beef Egg Rolls and fun mini Shepherd’s Pie ‘Cupcakes.’ Showing up to watch a game on television? You might be interested in the chicken wings— they come in 25 different varieties. 1439 S. Charles St., 443-682-9141
