Popular Annapolis Thai restaurant Lemongrass has opened a new outpost in Baltimore. Situated in a restored old industrial building at Bank Street and Central Avenue in Fells Point, the newest Lemongrass is quite a bit roomier than the original location. Two floors offer several bars, a lounge area, multiple dining rooms and a DJ-driven dance floor for a late-night club scene. A two-story-high statue of the Thai goddess Tavee (meaning “angel”) stands sentry over the proceedings, while hovering over a calming fountain. The menu offers lots of Thai classics, both spicy and mild— the ginger chicken is a standout. Linked to the restaurant via a back hallway is its companion, Tsunami, featuring a sushi menu. Tsunami’s space is decorated in shades of deep blue, with white light globes floating overhead. Several small dining rooms ring the central bar area, and an indoor/outdoor courtyard provides another link to the Lemongrass side. Try the sea urchin cocktail— a shooter comprised of sake, raw quail egg and sea urchin. Bottoms up! Open seven days. 1300 Bank St., 410-327-7835
