Short List

>>THE SHORT LIST…  Artifact Coffee, the latest brainchild of chef Spike Gjerde, is now open in the newly restored Union Mills complex in Woodberry. The menu includes breakfast items, a “Day Kitchen” menu of soups, salads and sandwiches, and dinner. (1500 Union Ave., 410-235-1881).  >> The Brewers Hill neighborhood has a new bar, Of Love and Regret, specializing in Stillwater ales, craft beers and cocktails. It’s the brainchild of chef Ted Stelzenmuller and noted “gypsy brewer” Brian Strumke. (1028 S. Conkling St., 410-327-0760). >> Adam’s Eve Gastropub is another new bar in Canton, with chef Mark Littleton manning the kitchen. (3326 Foster Ave., 410-808-2823) … >> Patrick Russell (Kooper’s Tavern, Slainte Irish Pub, the Chowhound Burger Wagon, etc.) is expanding his bar/restaurant empire into the county: Kooper’s North is set to open this month in the Roundwood Center in Lutherville.  >> Blue Sage Cafe & Wine Bar has joined the mix in Mount Washington. Don’t be fooled by the “café” appellation; there’s a full restaurant menu, courtesy of chef Justin Feeser. (1604 Kelly Ave.)
