Miss Shirley's Cafe and Bakery

I love Ms. Shirleys.  The food is amazing.  I never know what to order because I want too much at once.  The service is great and the food is delicious.  I am not doing the restaurant any justice; to se for yourself, I encourage you to try it out for yourself.  You will not be disappointed.  Everyone who I know loves the place.  It is local, friendly, economical, and most importantly delicious!

Miss Shirley's Cafe and Bakery

My daugter is attending CND and I wanted to take her to a restuarant nearby to celebrate her 18th birhtday.  My girlfriend and her son met me and my daughter @ Miss Shirley for what we thought would be a wonderful celebration.  We arrived and our waitress was very personalbe an cheerful.  She said that we “shouldn’t have made a cake for her.”  We chose to si outside becuase it is a beautiful day.  After we were server out drinks the host? came out and informed us that “outside” food was not allowed and we would be charged a “cake cutting fee.!!  I informed him that in that case we would not cut the cake.  We also did not see anything on the menu that sounded too great.  We left our money for our drinks on the table and went to Loco Hombre down the street and had a great lunch and a wonderful, welcoming atmoshphere as well.  Shame on Miss Shirley’s…What ever happened to customer appreciation and service????  They will never get our business again and probably lost alot of new prospects from CND up the street….

Miss Shirley's Cafe and Bakery

Four friends and I went to Ms. Shirleys for a late breakfast..early lunch…arrived around 11am.  Walked in to the mairtre D’ welcoming us to Ms. Shirleys….best breakfast in Baltimore.  Service was slow ....we ordered fried green tomatoes and they were delicious.  Coffee not hot…then our meals arrived..french toast cold….scrapple cold and mushy…applewood bacon stiff as a board and my eggs over were brown…grits luke warm…really good biscuit.  We were given a credit of $4.5o which was nice but Ms. Shirley has a long way to go to advertise Baltimore’s Best Breakfast…
