Truly, I ask you—have you ever seen anything so hideous in your life??
They are apparently called Jeggings—neologism coined from “jeans” and “leggings”—ha ha, right?—though I can’t think of anything to call them but ugly. Nothing says ‘stripper-chic’ like these things, especially in this come-hither ad from (the otherwise delightful) lingerie emporium Her Room:
Truly horrid. Anyway, something pretty coming soon. Just couldn’t resist having a laugh at these in the meantime. (Think of it as another in the continuing series, “Will Hideosities Never Cease?!”)

ADDENDUM: Horrors! I was on the Hopkins campus the other day, just after I wrote this, and lo and behold, I saw a student sporting these. Other than the fact that they were just as ugly in reality as they are virtually, it was 97 flippin’ degrees! And humid! How could she possibly stand them?? Glamour Girl, on the other hand, was wearing a stunning red/pink rose-print 1950s Suzy Perette sundress (no, not that one, though just as cool and summery).
