13.5% Wine Bar is the latest entrant on the ever-hip Avenue in Hampden. A retro-cool lounge with comfortable seating areas,
tables and a large bar, it adds a dash of style and sophistication to the neighborhood. Polished wood floors, a wall of stacked flagstone and low-hanging, groovy decorative metal lamps are a backdrop for more than 40 wines by the glass and some 200-plus bottles of vino. The goal is to present “upscale wine at reasonable prices.”  Beer lovers, don’t fret— there are six drafts on tap, including Clipper City Gold, Southern Tick and Golden Braak, plus 22 bottled beers. The kitchen offers a rotating selection of salads, paninis and casual dishes, all for under $10.
