Ever-expanding Harbor East adds another destination to its roster: Ra Sushi, the 17th location in the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based chain. Though it’s techically a restaurant, it exudes the edgy style of a club/lounge. Dark, dramatic lighting, a hip, pulsing soundtrack and a stunning design that is equal parts contemporary and traditional Asian all combine to create a fun, stylish experience. The space is divided into several dining areas, a traditional sushi bar and a cocktail bar and lounge area. The menu offers a wide selection of fresh sushi sliced to order, signature rolls and sashimi dishes, along with a host of Japanese fusion “hot dishes” and entrées such as black pepper filet medallions served with wasabi mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus.
