Epicure
Meat lovers rejoice! Famed Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão has arrived in downtown Baltimore. With outlets in several other U.S. cities, including Beverly Hills, Chicago and Atlanta, Fogo de Chão provides all diners with a two-sided disc to control the pace of their meal: the green side signals the gaucho chefs to bring out skewers of sizzling fire-roasted meats to carve at the table; the red side indicates a stopping point. Traditional side dishes of warm cheese bread, fried bananas, crispy hot polenta and seasoned mashed potatoes are automatically brought to each table and replenished throughout the meal. There’s also a gourmet salad bar with some 30 items including cheeses, vegetables and cured meats . The large rooms seat 300 diners. Lunch, $22.50 and dinner, $42.50 prix fixe. Evening valet service available. 600 E. Pratt St., 410-528-9292
