Crush
Crush

Taste restaurant opened to much fanfare at Belvedere Square just three years ago. While the rest of the square continues to thrive, Taste quietly turned out the lights a few months ago. Newly opened in the location is Crush. Chef/owner Daniel Chaustit, formerly of Timonium’s Christopher Daniel, has taken over the posh space and developed a more price-friendly Modern American menu that concentrates on locally grown produce and sustainable seafood. We like the appetizers such as beets layered with goat cheese, mache and olive oil ($8) and scallops with smoked bacon and roasted tomato ($12). For entrees, we couldn’t pass up the beef filet accompanied by spinach fondue, lobster mac & cheese and a port wine reduction ($25) or the nicely done classic crab cakes with Old Bay fries and coleslaw ($30). As the name implies, wines are a top priority here with an extensive global list and 20 wines available by the glass. Open daily for lunch and dinner.  510 E. Belvedere Ave., 443-278-9001
