Charlie Gjerde (best known as half of brother-duo Spike & Charlie) has a new endeavor: Alexander’s Tavern in Fells Point. Half pub and half restaurant, it offers something for everyone. On the dining room side, expect white tablecloths and a menu of steaks, seafood and dishes ranging from pastas to fried chicken— there are a few tables for sidewalk dining, as well. On the bar side, there are plenty of pub-grub standards, such as burgers, shrimp, salads and a French dip sandwich, as well as food and drink specials seven nights a week. There’s a pool table in the rear, and a comfy lounge area upstairs, too.
