Spent some time this evening at the 4th annual Wrecker’s Ball to benefit Second Chance at their downtown warehouses near the stadiums. Committee member Susan Seifert had extended the invitation to this one-of-a-kind event, which I hadn’t been to before. Hundreds of party-goers wandered through the cavernous spaces filled with period furniture and architectural salvage pieces. I spent some time speaking with founder Mark Foster as well as developer Pat Turner and wife Jeanine and the governor and wife Katie. The band soon had everybody on the dance floor and we stayed for bit before repairing to Junior’s in Federal Hill for a nightcap.
