Brian Lawrence Live
June 12-14
Started the weekend as a guest at a wine-tasting dinner at the home of local chef Jerry Edwards and his wife Julie. A multiple-course dinner and about 40 wines or so awaited us on the back patio. It was a beautiful evening for this gathering of 11 friends, old and new, to sip wines and make suggestions for an upcoming wine dinner that Jerry is planning. I was lucky enough to be seated between Celeste Corsaro and Tracy Kwiatkowski for the marathon of uncorking and sipping.
On Saturday afternoon, we drove down to Gibson Island to have afternoon cocktails with friends on their porch overlooking the bay, then headed over to the Gibson Island Club for an excellent dinner— including a really great crab cake.
Sunday afternoon was spent enjoying the sunshine on the streets of Little Italy for the annual St. Gabriel Festival— I spent the early afternoon on the front sidewalk of Tressa Manna‘s house where we had a good view of the band. In the course of the afternoon I hung out with Dara Bunjon, Marcy Sagel, Cindy & Kerry Plackmeyer, Tiffany Zappulla, Denis Nash, Jim Seay and Sarah Ingram. Then it was over to the home of David & Marla Oros for their Flag Day party to celebrate the kick-off of Sloane Brown‘s new jewelry web site, where I ran into way too many people to list, although I’ll note that Jim & Sarah made their way here from the Little Italy festival as well. Then we finished off the night with a stop-by at Green Spring Station, where the Taste of the Station benefit was in full swing. A turn around the courtyard to chat with friends, including Bobby Killebrew, and then some chicken parmesan at Tark’s capped off the night.
