I made plans to meet my friend Edie Brown at Tark’s Grill at Green Spring Station this evening and after meeting up in the bustling bar and saying hello to several other friends, we settled into a booth. Our server let it slip that Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti had booked the back room for the evening, and sure enough, about 20 minutes later, Bisciotti and most of his coaching staff (about 10 guys in all), including head coach John Harbaugh, trooped through the restaurant and into the room. Bringing up the end was Terps hoops coach Gary Williams— not sure what the connection is there, but it sure did get the attention of the dining room. After dinner, as we strolled through the bar, we came upon several other friends there celebrating a birthday with my friend Alex Shek, including Style publisher Claudia Meyers and Style sales team members Nancy Surosky and Andrea Medved. After joining them for a few, I made my way down to Woodberry Kitchen to join some other friends, and while there also came upon another group of friends having a ‘girls night out’— including Shana Kroiz, Alison Cahen Lohr and Abby Lattes. It was fun catching up and my evening stretched far later than I’d initially planned.
