Club Bollywood

Sat., May 9
The Contemporary Musuem celebrated its 20th anniversary by throwing a Bollywood-style bash complete with authentic Indian music, film screenings and food, including a cake by TV fave Duff Goldman. Dress was requested to be “Bollywood or Baltimore,” so I got into the spirit of things by wearing an authentic banded collar woven Indian shirt with my seersucker suit, figuring I was channeling the British Empire era. (Thanks to Heidi Slacum of Fresh Boutique, for finding me the shirt— Patrick Sutton and Jim Seay turned up in the identical shirt, but in different colors.) It proved to be a lively evening— at times the room was so crowded it was difficult to roam very far, but those enjoying themselves included Marcy Sagel, Tracy Kwiatkowski, Jill Goldberg, Hollin Hinkle, Jeff Stein, Sarah Ingram, Pat & Jeanine Turner, Eleanor & Peter Landauer, Martha Macks, Joyce Scott, Steve Ziger & Jamie Snead and Warren Hemenway, back in town for the weekend from NYC. Coming in as we were heading out were Sloane Brown & Steve Sobelman, making their second stop of the evening, having been to the party going on at CenterStage. Our group then headed over to Pazo to join a birthday celebration going on there for pal Christian Johannsson.
