A full agenda tonight— 3 benefits to get to, luckily they’re all right around the harbor. First up, GBBR’s 150th Anniversary gala, with cocktails aboard the S.S. Constellation, then across the street to the grand ballroom at the Hyatt for dinner and dancing. We spend an hour chatting during cocktails— I say hello to Steve & Mindy Geppi and to Karen Bisbee, then hop into a cab to get over to the Aquarium for their Green Ball. The party’s in full-swing when we get there and I catch up with Tracey Watson, Jim Seay, Greg Barnhill, and Stuart & Suzanne Amoss. We barely have time to grab a nibble and then it’s off to the Marriott Waterfront hotel to catch “Dancing with the Stars,” the benefit for Alzheimers disease going on in the grand ballroom. We arrive in time to see Dorothy Hamill named as runner-up and Molly Shattuck named the winner of this year’s competition. I also get to congratulate Diane Lyn, my pal from my stints on the WLIF morning show, for her performance dancing the rhumba and raising money for the cause. Whew! After all that, we re-group for a nightcap at the bar at Pazo, where bartenders Carmen and Tracy have my big-boy vodka tonic waiting for me when I arrive!
